94FM the Fish is looking for a part-time assistant production director working Monday through Friday afternoons from its Nashville airport area office.
This is a fantastic opportunity to engage in meaningful and fulfilling work while enjoying a team-oriented, high integrity work culture dedicated to securing the financial means that allow the station to influence the community with positive and uplifting programming.
The assistant production director position will:
-Assist the Production Director in overall duties.
-Assign production to various air talents.
-Voice and produce radio commercials.
-Seek out voices from internal station sources and external resources (Salem Voice Exchange).
-Creatively take a script from basic components to a full production through use of sound effects, vocal effecting and multiple music beds.
-Handle client recording sessions: recording the client and working through issues to produce a top quality commercial for on air.
-Put into the station automation system pre-produced commercials as assigned.
-Put together promos and station imaging as assigned by the Program Director.
-Merge broadcast commercial logs, check for missing spots, and follow through on anything that is outstanding for the following day’s broadcast.
Skills and proficiencies for this position include:
- Three years minimum radio or TV commercial production experience necessary.
-Advanced knowledge of Adobe Audition, as well as NexGen Automation.
-Superior audio production skills with an ability to put together multi-track production.
-A flexible personality that is capable of handling sudden change amidst pressing deadlines; one that is able to work well with others, including clients, agencies, sales, traffic and other internal employees. The job often calls for multi-tasking many different issues simultaneously, at times on tight deadlines.
-Having an attention to detail and follow through. This is essential as this individual must consider his or herself as the last step between commercial revenue being realized or lost.
-An understanding of how to meet the needs of the client, while keeping in mind the needs of the station and the listener, fulfilling our “Safe for the Whole Family” promise.
