Youth Pastor

Solid Rock Community Church of West Unity, Ohio, has an immediate opening for a full time male youth pastor (Jr. and Sr. High). Our current Youth Pastor will shift positions and remain here in a different pastoral role. The Youth Pastor must be willing to agree with the Statement of Faith at Solid Rock (www.solidrockcc.com) and must be willing to be licensed within his first year by the Fellowship of Evangelical Churches (our denomination – they only license males). The youth have their own fellowship and study room within the church. This position would require biblically based teaching at youth functions (various weekly meetings, Sunday school, etc.), plan Christian concert attendance, encourage camp and retreat attendance, plan a yearly missions outreach, interlace the youth with other ministries within the church, and fill in the pulpit from time to time. We would prefer him to have experience – but the experience does not necessarily have to be a previously paid position. Musical ability and being married is a plus but not required.  This job is not to be viewed as a stepping stone to something else. Our hope is for longevity with our youth. Pay range is negotiable based on experience but most likely in the 30’s plus benefits. Solid Rock is a church of 250 to 300 with roughly 30+ youth presently actively involved. We are a small town in far Northwest Ohio – rural and conservative in thinking – contemporary in worship – and strongly biblical in preaching and practice.
