POSITION OVERVIEW

As a BI Visualization Analyst with us, you will transform data into visually compelling stories that drive informed decision-making and foster business and church growth. You will collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams of Engineers and Business Experts to create interactive dashboards, and provide actionable insights. Actively participating in team collaboration to share knowledge and collectively enhance capabilities, skills, and tools are key aspects of this role.   • Passionate about leveraging technology and big data to present findings.
  • Well-versed in data visualization tools.
  • Ability to apply data visualization through different formats, such as graphs, tables, and PowerPoint slides.
  • Fluent in one or more BI Tools such as Superset, Tableau, PowerBI.
  • Eager to take ownership of a project and show initiative; desire to grow professionally.
  • Focused on the details while understanding the larger vision.
  • Excited to work on a fast-paced team.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver on those needs effectively.
  • Develop visually appealing and intuitive dashboards that effectively communicate key insights to stakeholders; internally and for clients.
  • Work with leaders and Data Scientists to create and present recommendation reports that translate complex findings into understandable insights.
  • Utilize business intelligence tools to create dynamic reports and presentations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data visualization to enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Ability to help IT partners refine and curate data for accurate reporting. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

Bachelor’s degree; in Data Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or related field. 

Experience & Values
  • 1-3 years working experience with data analysis and visualization.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
  • Knowledge in data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
  • Familiar with common project management practices.
  • Ability to work with and help IT partners refine imperfect data.
  • Experience with Amazon Quicksight, Superset, Redshift and various Data Visualization/BI Tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense, etc). 
  • Knowledge of and experience with Postgres and/or Microsoft SQL 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Nice to Have
  • Ability to analyze data trends and patterns to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Experience with AWS, including products related to analytics, computing, databases, developer tools, and machine learning
  • Knowledge of data standardization policies and standards sufficient to develop data management tools, including data dictionaries, data models, and metadata repositories
  • Experience with Jira, Asana and/or other project management tools
