Independent Counselor

Job Summary:

Lumin Counseling is a growing private-practice seeking an experienced, compassionate Counselor to join our growing team in Westerville, Ohio. This hybrid position offers the flexibility to work remotely (Full-time or Part-time) with occasional in-office sessions for clients who prefer face-to-face interaction. The ideal candidate will provide therapeutic services for individuals, couples, and groups. We have openings for full-time and part-time positions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide counseling services, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for clients dealing with a range of mental health issues.
• Conduct both virtual and in-person sessions based on client needs and preferences.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and adjust as necessary to meet client goals.
• Maintain accurate and timely client documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals or service providers as needed to support client care.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest counseling techniques, ethical standards, and practices.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Licensed in the state of Ohio (LPC, LSW, MFT, LPCC, LISW, IMFT, or Psychologist)
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in mental health counseling.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently and work with diverse populations.
• Proficiency with teletherapy platforms and basic computer skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to meet clients both virtually and in-person in Westerville.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Desire to incorporate Christian Counseling and faith-based approaches into practice.
• Experience in specialized therapeutic approaches (CBT, EMDR, DBT, etc.).
• Experience working with specific populations (children, trauma survivors, couples, etc.).
