GraceLife Academy Teacher (Daycare)

Position Goal:
To enhance GraceLife Academy by maintaining educational excellence and fostering a Christ-centered, nurturing environment in all classrooms.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and implement age-appropriate lesson plans to promote educational and developmental growth.
  • Maintain a clean, organized classroom that supports a positive learning environment.
  • Create and distribute a monthly calendar of classroom activities for parents and students.
  • Regularly assess student progress and classroom effectiveness, making adjustments as needed.
  • Lead and mentor the teaching team by modeling excellence in teaching practices.
  • Collaborate with the Preschool Program Coordinator to provide regular updates on classroom activities and student progress.
  • Communicate classroom-specific information to parents through newsletters, parent conferences, and direct conversations.
  • Complete special projects as assigned by leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with all state inspection standards and maintain required documentation.
  • Meet regularly with the Preschool Program Coordinator for planning and feedback.
  • Attend weekly church services and/or Bible study as part of our faith-based commitment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to walk, climb stairs, and be physically active with children during activities such as P.E., dance, and outdoor play.
  • Comfort lifting and assisting children as needed (e.g., bathroom needs, illness, injury).
  • Manage tasks such as putting out and picking up sleeping cots, assisting with dressing and seat belts, and ensuring safe vehicle transitions.
  • Perform light cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing tables and chairs to maintain a healthy classroom environment.
Qualifications:
  • A strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to living out Christian values.
  • Passion for working with children and creating a safe, nurturing learning environment.
  • Experience in early childhood education, with leadership or teaching experience preferred.
  • Ability to meet all state requirements for daycare and early education professionals.
